The ocean is a shared global resource, and plastic pollution affects everyone. It harms marine life and fragile ecosystems, such as coral reefs and has an indirect effect on human health.
Every year more than 14 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean. IUCN, 2021
We need to act
Plastic pollution in the ocean is a threat that we care so much about and a major environmental concern of our lifetime. As a packaging supplier, we are responsible for acting and leading the way by playing a key role in removing plastic waste from the ocean and rivers.
By 2050, there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 2016
You can make a difference
By choosing to have your packaging made with OWP, you help to clean the ocean from plastic waste piece by piece with every one of your products you sell in OWP packaging. From when we started 4 years ago, I see a major difference in the amount of plastic waste in several of the areas we collect in. Together we can make a significant difference.
